Job Description

Purpose of Position

As a friendly team player, your responsibilities will include promoting sales, minimizing stock losses, managing inventory, assisting customers, operating the cash register, and maintaining a low-cost culture to meet business objectives. Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive and safe store environment to reduce losses, adhering to security and handling procedures.
  • Manage the cash register in accordance with company policies and keep the store organized.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to enhance store efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Engage with customers, suggest additional products, and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Address customer inquiries and inform them about current sales and promotions.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and assist customers in finding their desired items.
  • Greet customers upon entry and offer assistance.
  • Achieve sales goals and stay updated on new products.
  • Assist with stock ordering and store presentation.
  • Receive, organize, and manage deliveries.
  • Ensure accurate payment processing using the cash register.
  • Stay informed about product changes and features.

 

Requirements

  • Matric certificate.
  • Previous experience in cashier roles, customer service, or sales.
  • Reside within 15 km of the job location.
  • Clear criminal record.

Preferences

  • South African candidates.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Computer literacy.
  • A passion for retail to provide an exceptional customer experience.
