Introduction:
TB HIV Care (THC) is a recognized non-profit organization dedicated to providing healthcare services across South Africa, focusing on communities at increased risk for HIV and TB. We are seeking a motivated General Worker to join our team at Quarry Heights.
This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, contributing to our mission of connecting people with care.
Purpose of the Position: The General Worker will ensure that the offices, training rooms, and refreshment areas are clean, tidy, and well-stocked, supporting the overall functionality of the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean all offices, training/meeting rooms, kitchens, and refreshment areas daily.
- Prepare tea and coffee for staff and visitors.
- Maintain a constant supply of hot water by replenishing urns regularly.
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean and hygienic at all times.
- Conduct regular spring cleaning of offices and public areas.
- Monitor stock levels of consumables in refreshment areas and place orders for tea, coffee, milk, and sugar as needed.
- Keep the tea/coffee area stocked with clean crockery and cutlery.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any defects.
- Address cleanliness and maintenance issues in male and female toilets.
- Perform external errands as required.

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- At least 1 year of related experience and training.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and isiZulu.
Skills and Competencies:
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
